Governments around the world are struggling to find a cure for the Corona pandemic. Many scientists who are obsessed with the fight for the survival of humanity are struggling day and night to find a vaccine and a cure for the disease. More than 120 researches are ongoing around the world.
Science has a greater responsibility to save the world today from the virus. All the religious institutions and faith institutions are closed today and not working on any hope to address the situation. The ultimate truth is that only science can save us. But those who question the limits of science will never accept it.
Still, a vast majority of religious leaders and political parties are preaching about the greatness of God and his power to save us from the disease. We cannot just leave them with the assumption that it is their right to preach. We do not care if one personally perishes without believing in science, but this one is a planned terrorist act to subject the whole society to such belief and drive them towards destruction.
However, practically no one who preaches such beliefs in society is even honest enough to follow the same beliefs when the disease strikes them. People who hold miraculous healing meetings like ‘Jesus calls’ are the ones who surrender to allopathic medicine when they get sick.
Many religious preachers and Yoga gurus also run large corporate hospitals. In parallel, they also make money by spreading ‘the holy message’ on a faith-based cure for Corona. Both coexist and generate money.
Even scientists who are responsible for dispelling such beliefs and teaching people to think scientifically are also found to be believers of religion. Many of them practice science to make their livelihood but also support god preachers.
Meera Nanda, author of the book 'The God Market', wrote in her book, “Religious belief is widespread among scientists. Of the 1100 scientists in India (all with PhDs in sciences, Engineering, and Medicine), 26 percent of those surveyed by Institute for the Study of Secularism in Society and Culture (ISSSC) in the United States were convinced of the existence of a single God and another 30 percent of non-personal spiritual powers. About 40 percent of Indian scientists believe that God works miracles, and 24 percent believe that men and women with special divine powers can perform miracles. 29% believed in karma, and 26% believed in life and rebirth after death. Many of the country's most famous scientists participated in public worship and followed the preachers who performed miracles in the name of God”. Very contrasting outcome.
When this is the belief position of Indian scientists, we do not need to tell the religious gangs who are working under the guise of keeping the Indian people idiots. Prime minister Modi encouraged some unconventional practices including clapping the hands, beating drums etc, when the corona infection was in its infancy in India. He then told her to light the lamp as the infection increased rapidly.
But no matter of all these noises in the air, this spiritual integration of Modi for warding off the corona pandemic has not worked even today. Everyone who believes in the scientific approach knows that it will not work even in the future. But Modi needed the drama to divert the attention of the millions of Indians who have lost much of their livelihood due to the Corona pandemic and are living in a life-and-death struggle.
If the leadership of the country shows his beliefs in the unscientific methods, should the followers be told on what needs to be done? They kept announcing miraculous healing drugs that would challenge science from their spiritual brain.
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale deafened the virus in Mumbai by chanting 'Go Corona Ko'. Pragya Singh Thakur, who was a prime accused in Malegaon blasts, stunned world scientists by saying, "If you recite the Hanuman Chalisa five times a day, the Corona will leave the world."
West Bengal BJP leader Dilip Gosh has discovered through his spiritual research that cow urine has a tendency to fight Corona. BJP leader Narayan Chatterjee from Jorasanko area of North Kolkata organized an event and gave everyone a drink of cow urine to prove Dilip Gosh’s findings a reality. He was arrested by the Kolkata Police on the basis of a complaint lodged by a constable of the Kolkata Home Guard, alleging that he was given cow urine that was passed off as “charanamrita” or ambrosia.
Assam BJP MLA Suman Haripriya came to the same conclusion as other Sanghi researchers who found that cow dung and urine could help curing the coronavirus. The Hindu Mahasabha held a cow urine party in Delhi. A few more gangs smeared cow dung on the body and tried to threaten the Corona.
But, Dr Shailendra Saxena of the Indian Virological Society had denied the sanghis’ lie, saying “there was no medical evidence to show that cow urine has anti-viral properties”.
Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, introduced the 'Bhabhi Ji Papad' under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative launched by the central government and congratulated the makers on their success, saying it would help fight the Corona virus. He is currently diagnosed with corona infection and has been admitted to Delhi AIIMS Hospital.
However, the ground reality is different. No one in the BJP has even nominally followed the medical methods they have been preaching, and they have primarily sought allopathic medical treatment when they have a corona infection. But even that did not work for some, and they died. The Corona virus will be afraid and leave the person if he is Sanghi?
Purushottam Priyadas, the 'godman' from Gujarat, spread the disease to many people saying that the Corona would not come if the devotees ate a laddu or lemon from his mouth. Finally, he himself died of Corona.
Aslam Baba in MP's Ratlam district had made it his motto to give a kiss on the hand and send blessings to the devotees who came to meet him. He also said that Corona would leave if he kissed them. He is currently a victim of Corona. He has gifted the Corona to 24 devotees through his kiss.
Former Andhra Pradesh minister and senior BJP leader Pydikondala Manikyala Rao has contracted a corona infection and admitted in a private hospital, but died without any treatment effect.
BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia from Madhya Pradesh, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Swatantra Dev Singh and the Home Minister of India Amit Shah are among those affected by the Corona and are being treated in private hospitals.
None of them drank cow urine, did not use cow dung, did not recite the Hanuman Chalisa or the corona mantra 'Go Corona Go'. They did not even look at ‘Coronil’ or ‘Swasari Vati’ produced by their spiritual leader Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Research Institute.
The ground reality is to treat it with allopathic medicine when it comes to self and family but advice to drink cow's urine when somebody else contracts the virus. People need to realize that only science and only scientists can save this world. It is very well proven that no god can save people from any disease.
"If you say 'Namo Narayana' 108 times, the corona will run away," said Thiruvilliputhur Jeeyar. But do you know the fate of those who visited Narayanan?
Devotees were allowed to visit the Tirumala temple, which was closed due to corona disease, on June 11, 2020. Since then, the number of corona patients in Tirumala has skyrocketed and more than 700 devasthanam employees have been infected with the corona virus and are receiving treatment. The former high priest of the Tirupati temple was killed by Corona, and on July 24, a devasthanam servant was also killed by Corona.
Similarly, Pradeep Das, a priest who used to perform daily pujas at Ram Janmabhoomi, was affected by the Corona and 16 security personnel were also affected by the Corona.
The number of corona victims in India is approaching 23 lakh. The death toll has crossed 45,000. But the government both at center and state, which is responsible for all these deaths, is just ignoring the sufferings of people without any concern for it.
People seem to have taken lightly that such a large number of casualties happen day by day across the nation. On the one hand, the government has pushed the people to the point of destruction by their inaction. On the other hand, the baseless beliefs imposed on the people by the ruling class are also killing the people.
We need Indian people to shed the belief of religion, god, religious leaders, faith-based cure systems and take a scientific approach for curing the disease. The full responsibility for freeing these people from the false beliefs based approach lies with the progressive movements that value human lives today. Let us unite in the fight against the virus with a scientific approach. Let us leave God to religion and bring in the way of scientific treatment.
